Who is the Energy Therapist?
My journey to Energy Therapy has been shaped by my own life experiences – illness, injury, personal and work stress. I see these experiences, however, as a necessary part of my own growth as a person: raising my consciousness and awareness of the importance of balancing my energy in the key dimensions of mind, body, spirit and soul.
I’ve had many injuries – from my early teens through into adulthood: broken bones, torn ligaments, damaged inter-costal muscles, lower lumbar injuries, dislocated shoulder etc.
My experience of illnesses started as a baby – with food allergies throughout my childhood and severe eczema from birth to five, and moderate eczema until my early teens.

My Roots
I was born in South London in the 1960s, and call both Barbados and the UK my home.
My professional life has been diverse: I’ve wored as a child social worker, a gas engineer, a telecommunications engineer, an IT security consultant and – now – a Sports and Energy Therapist.
I’ve learned about health and well-being through academic and practical courses, and my own experience on the road to health.
My journey has brought me into contact with complementary health and wellness practictioners who have transformed my life.
My beliefs
the body is its own powerful healer
“Western” medicine uses a remedial approach to dealing with illness and injury. Other cultures take a different approach – focusing on enhancing the body’s innate capacity to deal with bacteria and viruses, and recover from injury.
Food as Medicine or Toxin?
Healthy food is an essential ingredient for immunity. But food can also harm us being altered from it’s original state mother nature intended. “Western” lifestyle habits need to be changed of too much indulgence. Ultimately, it’s a question of beliefs, and choice.

Be Healthy on the Outside and on the Inside

Ironically it was when I was at my fittest that I started to have fainting episodes. Diagnosed as bradycardic (slow heart beat arrhythmia) and fitted with a pacemaker. My abnormal blood profile (high stress hormones, for instance) was not addressed.
Years later a Dr of Functional Medicine helped me resolve these problems, changing my diet but also taking measures to improve my gut health.
