Functional Training

Do you want to lose or gain weight? Do you have difficulty with movement? Are you lacking energy?

My Functional Training programme will strengthen your body so you are able to perform all the functions needed for a more productive, healthy and active lifestyle.  You’ll have more energy to do the things you love doing – whether that’s playing with your children or grandchildren, walking, swimming – and we will deal with the problems that restrict your movement and prevent you doing the routine domestic and work-related tasks that are an essential part of your lifestyle.

After an initial face to face assessment – where I’ll ask you about your health history and find out more about your fitness goals – I will develop a tailor-made programme for you which includes a range of different and fun exercises for you to do in your own time. Our time together will involve me teaching you new exercises, and making sure you practice them without risk of strain or injury.

While most of my clients are one-to-one, some people like to exercise with a friend or in a group. I work with groups of up to 3 people, so if this is you, please ask for details.

 

My problem started when I hurt my back in 2014. My GP gave me pain killers and steroid injections, but these just gave temporary pain relief. I lost a lot of weight, got weaker and stopped walking – it was too painful.

When I came to Andrei I could hardly stand, and it took me ages to get upstairs.

After the first Pain Genie treatment I noticed a big change, and the pain continued to reduce with every treatment. Andrei also took me through gentle exercises to get the muscles and joints working properly again and help me regain my balance.

I can now stand up straight and walk without assistance. Now it’s 8 months later, and I am pain-free!

The best thing is Andrei offers outdoor training. So nice to get out of the gym!
