What can I expect from Energy Therapist?
How long is a typical session?
What do the sessions cost?
My rate per hour is charged at £70 (Bbds $170) per 1 hour session, £40 for 30 minutes and £30 for 15 minutes. There is some variation in this rate, however, for some services. We will discuss charges during the initial consultation.
What will typically happen during the treatment?
All treatments are non invasive, and can be given either standing, sitting or lying – whicever is most appropriate. I will explain what is going to happen at each stage of the session to ensure you are comfortable.
Will I need more than one session?
Do I have to wear anything special for the sessions?
It is preferable to come in relaxed and comfortable clothes e.g. jogging pants, shorts, t-shirt or loose top. It is advised to bring a warmer top as you may feel cooler during the treatment. Sports massage treatments will require removal of clothes to reach the injured or painful part of the body. Other energy therapy treatments can be done in your clothes, though you may be requested to lift up, or take off, your top should there be a sensitive or painful point in your shoulders, torso, neck, etc. But I will always ask your permission before doing so and will give you prior notice.
What if I have pains during the sessions?
All sessions are done within your own pain threshhold, and I will continuously ask you to report your pain level on a scale from 1 to 10 to make sure it is acceptable to you at all times. If at any point in time, you feel unwell or in pain, please let me know so that we can consider other techniques and therapies.
What are the possible side effects?
There are no serious side effects from sports and energy therapy. You may, however, feel a little bit tired after the session and hungry as your energy levels remap themselves within your body.
Do I need to tell my health practitioner or still see my doctor if I do Energy Therapy?
I would always encourage and recommend sharing information about the sessions with any practitioner speak to your Dr, when it concerns your ongoing health concerns. This will ensure all issues are considered as part of your recovery.
